Invisalign? is a tooth movement system that employs a series of aligners or trays (similar in appearance to bleaching trays). Each tray is worn for a period of two weeks before progressing to the next tray in the series. Although not quite as effective for moving teeth as braces, Invisalign? can nonetheless be very effective in many cases and are particularly popular with adults. Learn more about Invisalign? here.
TAD is short for Temporary Anchorage Device and is a very small metallic screw that is placed into the bone to help achieve tooth movements which would not be possible with braces alone. The procedure is done right in our office and takes about five minutes, including freezing without needles.
